Creating a neuro-affirmative workplace

An expert-led e-learning course delivered by a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist specialising in neurodivergence and workplace systems.

Around 1 in 7 people are neurodivergent. Yet employment rates, retention data and workplace wellbeing metrics consistently show that many neurodivergent professionals are under-supported, misunderstood, or exhausted by work environments not built with their nervous systems in mind.

When organisations ignore neurological difference, the costs are measurable:

  • Increased absenteeism and burnout
  • Underperformance driven by cognitive overload
  • High attrition of skilled employees
  • Managers lacking confidence and clarity
  • Talent that never reaches full potential

When organisations get it right, the impact is equally measurable:

  • Improved retention and engagement
  • Higher productivity in well-supported neurodiverse teams
  • Greater innovation and creative problem solving
  • Sustainable performance rather than masked survival

This course is designed to help you move from awareness to action.

What This Course Builds

This course builds understanding of neurodivergence and equips participants with practical, evidence-informed strategies to support neurodivergent individuals in the workplace.

It focuses on:

  • Building understanding of neurodivergence
  • The hidden impact of masking and burnout
  • Practical workplace adaptations that reduce cognitive load
  • Moving beyond one-size-fits-all models of professionalism
  • Utilising strength based assessment to unlock potential

The goal is not just inclusion, but environments where people can genuinely thrive.

What’s Included

  • 1 hour 30 minute self-paced video course with slides, delivered directly to camera by a Clinical Psychologist
  • A full 22-page workbook with reflective exercises, practical templates and implementation tools
  • Certificate of completion

This is not a click-through, text-based module. You are learning directly from a clinician with extensive experience in neurodivergence and organisational systems. The teaching is conversational, psychologically informed, and grounded in real clinical work and real workplace experience.

The emphasis is on depth, clarity and practical strategies.

Why This Course Is Different

This training isn’t an over-produced, AI-generated package.

It is delivered by a Clinical Psychologist and grounded in:

  • Clinical formulation and lived experience
  • Evidence-informed practice
  • Real conversations with neurodivergent individuals
  • Practical organisational insight

It is designed to feel like a conversation with a trusted professional. Reflective, engaging and human.

If you want training that is psychologically informed and genuinely useful, created by someone who understands both neurodivergence and organisational systems, this course was built for you.

Who Is This Course For?

This course is for anyone who wants to create a workplace where neurodivergent individuals are understood, supported and able to do their best work.

It is especially relevant for:

  • Managers and leaders who want to build inclusive teams and move beyond one-size-fits-all approaches
  • HR, People & Culture or DEI professionals looking for practical neuro-affirmative guidance
  • Team members and colleagues who want to work more thoughtfully alongside neurodivergent co-workers
  • Educators, trainers and consultants supporting organisations through inclusion and change
  • Neurodivergent individuals seeking language, frameworks and tools to advocate for safer, more accessible workplaces

No prior knowledge of neurodivergence is required. The course meets you where you are and builds understanding, confidence and practical skill at your own pace.

If you are curious, open to learning and committed to doing better with intention, this course is for you.

Supporting neurodivergent talent is not just fair, it is smart organisational design. Inclusive environments reduce absenteeism, improve retention, unlock productivity and strengthen innovation.

The question is not whether neurodivergence exists in your organisation. It is whether your systems are designed to support it.

About the trainer

I’m a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working across both the NHS and the private sector. My work centres on supporting adults with ADHD and autism, using a compassion-focused, neuroaffirmative approach.

I prioritise creating person-centred, supportive environments where individuals feel understood, validated, and empowered, whether that’s through clinical work, consultation, or workplace support.

Alongside my clinical role, I lead on workplace wellbeing pathways and am passionate about helping organisations create environments where neurodivergent people can thrive. This includes supporting individuals, teams, and systems to better understand neurodivergence and remove unnecessary barriers at work.
